Mark Weed is a trumpeter born and raised in San Diego. He graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory/Composition. Mark has been teaching band/brass for 11 years in the San Diego area, as well as performing throughout the county. Jazz Band and Concert Ensemble are his areas of expertise. Mark has been a tremendous help to the Youth Arts Academy, coaching students in the four levels of concert bands and jazz band. Mark runs a great Jazz program here at the club for younger students as well as two High School and Middle School Jazz Bands which rehearse on Monday nights.
